Solutions

At the Cochlear Center, we are committed to not only understanding the impact of hearing loss on public health but to also developing and implementing accessible, affordable, and scalable solutions. All too often, ‘treating’ hearing loss is assumed to mean that expensive hearing aids and multiple visits with a hearing professional are needed. While such an approach is one option, other approaches are clearly needed. Cochlear Center faculty have led the way in changing policy around hearing technology and developing new approaches toward addressing hearing loss in the community and in healthcare systems that are highlighted here.
