Bio
Ian Saldanha, MBBS, MPH, PhD is an associate professor in the Departments of Epidemiology and of Health Policy & Management. He earned his medical degree at Grant Medical College in Mumbai, India. He then earned his MPH and PhD in epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
His work has focused on the conduct, methodological development, and application of evidence synthesis and clinical trials in various topics, including sensory health. Broadly, he is interested in how research can be best brought to bear on clinical and public health decision-making.
Saldanha is Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins Evidence-based Practice Center and a Fellow of the Society for Research Synthesis Methodology. Saldanha is also passionate about teaching evidence synthesis, epidemiology, and clinical trial methods.
