Bio
Pablo Martinez Amezcua, MD, PhD, MHS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology. He earned his medical degree at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. He then completed his Master of Health Science degree and doctorate in epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
His doctoral and post-doctoral research focused on understanding the association between hearing loss and physical function and activity. Broadly, he is interested in how mid-life cardiovascular risk factors contribute to health at older ages, including, physical function, cognitive health, and sensory loss. Martinez Amezcua is passionate about teaching epidemiology.
